This mud brick house followed a client’s inspiration by traditional American barn design. The house was laid out so the owner-builder could source logs from the property at Tumbarumba to construct a pole frame. This in turn could be infilled gradually with mud bricks. An Inglenook fireplace and loft are features of the design.
